Creating performance opportunities for our local youth across all genres of music. A grassroots community bringing young talent into the spotlight.
Reigniting local interest and involvement in the multi-faceted music industry, from the grassroots up.
Ballina Shire Youth Artists is a grassroots community program - in the process of becoming a registered not-for-profit - designed to reignite local interest and involvement in the multi-faceted music industry. We operate at the grassroots level, re-engaging many different aspects of the industry.
We boost the creative economy, education, wellbeing services, and local small business by giving young performers a platform to share their art with the community.
From open mic events to full band showcases, we create spaces where young musicians can practice, perform, network, and grow - building confidence and connections that last a lifetime.
A sustainable youth hub for music, art, and creative expression.
Open mic events where young artists can perform in a supportive, all-ages environment. All contemporary genres welcome - rock, pop, hip-hop, indie, electronic, and everything in between.
Bigger showcase events at local venues like the Ballina Amphitheatre, giving bands and solo artists a big stage experience in front of a real audience.
Connecting young artists with experienced local musicians and industry professionals. Intergenerational involvement brings a stronger, forward-thinking music scene.
Opportunities for youth to compile quick, easy promotional packages through live recording and visual content for their musical journey.
A hub where performers meet, jam, and form new musical groups. Building connections that turn into bands, collaborations, and lifelong friendships.
Mental health and wellbeing are strengthened through sharing music and art. Creative expression in a safe space builds confidence and community belonging.
